Terms & conditions

The small print

These terms and conditions are the terms upon which Wild Flowers of Harrogate makes available to you, the event commissioner, any of our services. By paying the deposit to secure your wedding flowers you agree to the following.

1 · Products & services

All products are subject to availability; in the event of supply difficulties we reserve the right to substitute components of equivalent value and quality. Flowers are natural products and colours may differ. If we cannot supply at all, you will be notified and reimbursed in full. Initial consultations are complimentary and by appointment; additional in-person consultations are chargeable.

2 · Prices & payment

Proposals remain valid for 14 days and should be taken as a guide. Full payment must be received no less than 5 weeks before the event. Once confirmed, changes must be submitted in writing; flowers are ordered 10–14 days before your date and significant changes after ordering may incur fees.

3 · Delivery

Travel is charged at 65p per mile; journeys over 60 minutes at £15 per hour (or part) in addition to mileage. Please ensure full, accurate address and contact details for the venue or recipient. Delivery and set-up happen at a time agreed in advance.

4 · Event set-up

We personally deliver and set up your flowers; trusted assistants join for large events. We accept no responsibility for damage caused by lit candles once set-up is complete, or for arrangements not collected or worn by the bridal party. We must be the sole provider of floral décor (church flower teams excepted).

5 · Cancellation

Deposits are retained in all circumstances. 9+ months before the event: booking fee only. 6–8 months: booking fee plus £200 admin. 3–5 months: booking fee plus 50% of the final amount. 4 weeks–3 months: plus 75%. Within 5 weeks: the full amount is payable.

6 · Complaints & care

Any complaints should be raised within 1 working day of delivery by phone or email. Because our products are perishable, care instructions are given on delivery — typically a cool spot away from draughts, heat and strong fumes.

7 · Ill health, Acts of God & weather

Contingency plans are in place for sudden ill health — your event would be completed by our experienced freelance team. In adverse weather we remain in contact and agree a contingency plan. If we are prevented from providing the service, a refund of full monies paid is offered.

8 · Props, styling & general

Hired items (vases, containers, props) remain our property; you are responsible for them during the hire period and replacement fees apply for damage. We may amend these terms from time to time; paying a booking fee constitutes acceptance.
